About Ideal Planet PDX

My name is Brittany Matthews, owner/operator of Ideal Planet PDX, established March 2021. I created this company out of a deep love for hospitality and refined client experiences. Over the last 5 years, Ideal Planet PDX has become a top choice for concierge-style home buyer and seller services in the City of Portland.

Navigating the Portland housing market demands strategy and experience. I cut through the noise and offer a clear path forward that’s curated to your unique needs. I specialize in uncovering a house’s pitfalls and identify real opportunities to build equity, providing honest, sugar-free guidance.

Working with me comes with some promises:

  • One of my favorite sayings is “work hard and be nice to be people”. I try to live by this in everything that I do. Whether I’m chatting with you about the realities of the Portland real estate market, negotiating with other agents, or coordinating appointments with vendors, I put care and kindness at the forefront. You never have to feel like you’re bothering me or that you’ve asked that question too many times.

  • Empowerment through education is a huge part of my business model. I’m not here to tell you what to do, I am here to explain to you the pros and cons, help you understand the repercussions, and guide you to making the best decision for you. What’s best for you might not be what’s best for me, and that’s ok! You drive the bus, I’m just here to help navigate.

  • Finding your new home can feel like a daunting and drawn out process. Sometimes it takes endurance to make it to the finish line. This requires a positive attitude and a dash of reality. The home you end up in might not check every single box, but you can trust me when I say, you’ll end up in the home that’s right for you. I’ll keep you grounded along the way.

  • Bottom line - I work ONLY in your best interest. You’re putting your trust in me to guide you on your buying or selling journey and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. And once you have me on your side, I’m there for life! Whether you need a plumber or electrician recommendation, you’re celebrating a milestone, or you need advice about a difficult situation.
